Review Policy – Please Read

I really enjoy reading and review books for authors and publishers. I prefer hard copies, but will also accept e-books. If you would like me to read and review your book please contact me by e-mail at mariamor@gmail.com.

I will try my best to explain what it was I enjoyed about the book or why it was not to my taste.
Please note my preferred genres and those I don’t accept before contacting me.

When I accept a book to for review on my blog, I always try to stick to the time guide you specify. If I can’t for any reason manage that, I will always let you know well in advance.

When you contact me, I work on the assumption that you have read my review policy and taken the time to find out a little about me. Mass emails and those that have not read my guidelines tend to be ignored.

If I turn down your request, it will most likely be because my reviewing schedule is full and I know I can’t meet your deadline.

Authors and publishers who would like to use quotes from my review of their book should ask me first and ensure that the name of my blog is the prominent source.

Finally, if a book is not for me, I will say so. My reviews will be honest and a true reflection of my opinion. I appreciate that a lot of time and energy goes into every book and I always try to be constructive in my criticism.

I am on Netgalley, Goodreads, Facebook, and Twitter and share my reviews on these social media sites as well as book clubs I may be a part of and also on Amazon and Waterstones. I will always try to send links to the authors/publisher once my review is posted…and I am happy to be contacted for a link if I have not contacted you directly myself.

I have an inbuilt bias towards Scottish fiction and I predominantly read:

Crime fiction
True Crime
Thrillers/psychological thrillers
Mysteries (darker/noir)
Legal thrillers

I also read Literary Fiction and some Women’s Fiction but usually not chic lit

I don’t read erotica and most science fiction.
