About

Hi,

My name is Mary and I have a background in communications, theatre and trade unionism. In the past I have worked for Equity, the STUC, the BBC, GMB,theatre companies and I have been fortunate to love every job I have ever done.

I’m a passionate book reader. I love all kind of books from 20th century novels to crime thrillers. My blog is predominantly crime, psychological thrillers and police procedurals, though I also review literary fiction from time to time as the mood takes me..

I really enjoy reading and review books for authors and publishers. I love hard copies, but will also accept e-books. If you would like me to read and review your book please contact me by e-mail after reading my review policy .

When I accept a book to for review on my blog, I always try to stick to the time guide you specify. If I can’t for any reason manage that, I will always let you know well in advance.

If I turn down your request, it will most likely be because my reviewing schedule is full and I know I can’t meet your deadline.

Authors and publishers who would like to use quotes from my review of their book should ask me first and ensure that the name of my blog is the prominent source.

Finally, if a book is not for me, I will say so. My reviews will be honest and a true reflection of my opinion. I appreciate that a lot of time and energy and all of an author’s hopes and dreams go into every book and I always try to be positive constructive in my criticism.

Wondered if you’d enjoy this short story anthology and would like a copy? Let me know, if so. (info@murdermayhemandmore.net)
